VITA Program

The Atlanta Prosperity Campaign (an initiative of the Atlanta Community Food Bank) and the IRS are looking for volunteers to help prepare tax returns for low-income residents of metro Atlanta. Through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, the Prosperity Campaign provides FREE tax preparation services to households that earn less than $42,000. Most of our 40+ tax sites operate on Saturdays during the tax season, with some open during the week. We request that each volunteer work a minimum of 20 hours during the tax season.  In addition, each volunteer tax preparer needs to attend a short training, and become certified by the IRS.  For more information, please contact Cicely Garrett at (678) 553-5982, or at cicely.garrett@acfb.org
